Overdue indeed. It has certainly been a while since I have last made an entry to my prestigious blog. What's good y'all? I'm about into my second week of winter break (I think, I lost track of time since my last exam) and so far I've not done much :( . But I did spend a lot, two days ago I paid off my Visa, only to use again to pay off my remaining balance due to Long & McQuade. I would then later buy another amplifier (trading in my old one). Things went sour yesterday as the amp would break down on me during the middle of my jam session (alone), this really bummed me out as my day started off really well and swell. My dad (of all people) took me and my brother shopping! We went to Vaughn Mills. I got myself 3 items, a cardigan sweater, button-up shirt, and pants. Finally got around to getting a new outfit. It was really nice and rare of my father to be so generous, fishy no? Who cares it's the holidays no time to be bummy true?
So after the tragic Sunday, this morning as I woke up I showered instantly and took my amp and headed straight to Long & McQuade. I was skeptical because I had lost my receipt but this was no problem (fortunately for me). They had my record of purchases and transactions in their database, plus the employee who helped me on the day I bought the amp remembered me and helped me again as well today (cool guy I must add, very nice). He said I can exchange it for the same model or use it as trade in credit towards another amp, which I did. This time I was fed up and went on to try a more powerful amp the Fender RUMBLE 60.
This amp is pretty nice and it'll be strong enough to handle small gigs in case I'm ever in a band. I love it so far. Has not disappointed me yet. Warm tones, no distortion, just nice fat/clean sound.
I recently found out that my GPA is 3.30, which is OKAY accounting for the fact that it's over the required 3.0 GPA needed to be applicable for co-op next year, but not yet enough for me to continue getting my scholarship (80%), so that means I gotta work my ass off next semester, which seems possible since I got Mondays off, the day I'll do unfinished homework and studying (if needed). The grades I got in my classes are pretty random, I got A- in Accounting (which is probably the hardest course of the 5 this semester) and in Management (which was somewhat of a joke). And the rest I ended up getting B's =/.
Don't you just hate driving in the snow? Last Friday I was booked to work all day and that was the day with the huge ass snow storm! I called in the morning telling my manager that I might be late, hoping that he'd go "Don't worry just stay home", instead he just said "Don't worry." Seriously, I've never driven so slow before but this was good because I did not want to die in snow. Driving 20 km per hour has its benefits, especially if the road is filled with the worst drivers ever (Woodbridge drivers). Such a waste that day, I was surprised people even came out to eat at a time like that! People are crazy, I tell ya. If I was home and I see that the world outside my territory was a blizzard, I'd close the door and go back to bed.
Anymore to say? Well this week I'm working on Christmas eve, Friday, and Saturday. Tomorrow I think I'm finally going out with old friends. Yeah, not much to say now lol.
Happy Holidays!
